WFCC AGM 2022

WFCC AGM 2022 Hi all.  Below are the details for the upcoming AGM for this coming year on the 18th of March. We will be trying to meet face to face if possible and the current committee are in the process of securing a venue.  The agenda will be posted here along with links to the current constitution and any other relevant documents.  You can find details of the event by going to our Facebook page and looking at the event pages (link at the end) This is another important year for the club as always and we need our active members to step up and help out if you can. If you can't commit to joining the committee formally then just helping with running sessions and organising weekends away would be really helpful too.  This club is nothing without its members and we really need more help in the next 12 months if the club is continue to thrive and grow.  I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the meeting and getting planning for the next year.  Neil Baars WFCC Chair Plea

Club Update- We're back!

Image
We're back! After a long winter and with the lockdown restrictions easing the Club are finally getting back out on the water.  We have restarted our weekly Club nights and are busier than ever. If you've paddled before, either with us or elsewhere, then come and join us on the River at our own club house based on the grounds of The Bewdley School. These nights are great for improving your skills or just getting out there and having a good time. Our group leaders will help you to get out whether you have your own gear or need to borrow some of ours. Due to the current weather, we have been relocating some session to the canal and introducing people to some canoe polo as well as skills sessions.  For those of you who are looking to try out kayaking or canoeing for the first time or getting back into the sport after a long break, you should head along to one of monthly New Starter Sessions (Normally the first Friday of each month) where we can get you started in the sport and tea

Tree hugging, boulder beaching and Bala Mill strikes back...

Lower T ryweryn, Sunday 23r d July 2017 P addlers: Chucky , Ali, Clar a, Brian, Sandie The weekend's rain had done little to swell the rivers and it was a small band of three that set off from the Club on Sunday to take advantage of a sunny day in Wales. With the group being small and Clara a relative newbie to white water, the plan was to head to the Dee.

Intro to white water day at symonds yat (and my intro to coaching😊)

Today’s paddle was another intro to white water day based at symonds yat, the idea being to give some of the newer members of the club a chance to experience some moving water and a great opportunity for all members to get out and enjoy the water.

Waves, wobbles and silly tan lines.

A 'little' paddle related blog from Laura - just in case you've forgotten what it was like to be a newbie (I had...)  If you want to follow more of Laura's ramblings on life, paddling and horses please see her blog at: http://ljmonelife.blogspot.co.uk/ In the last week or so the preparation has started for the summer trip to the Alps. After I decided to go and got my deposit paid, I've got some kit sorted and I'm set up with the basics to get out and practice.
